Malmö Tower is a proposed skyscraper in Malmö, Sweden. Designed by Danish Architect Lone Wiggers of C.F. Møller architects. The Design was revealed at a press conference held by the City of Malmö on August 21st 2006. The design was chosen by a jury in an international competition, featuring amongst others, renowned Austrian architects Coop Himmelb(l)au. When build, the skyscraper will reach a height of 180 meters (proposed height of 216), covering 53 stories, making it the 2nd highest building in Scandinavia, after Santiago Caltravas famous Turning Torso building, also located in the city of Malmö. The tower is center piece of a proposed complex featuring 50.000 m2 of apartments, offices, shopping space, leisure activities and a train station.

The proposed design is a cubical tower, clad in light varied glass surfaces and natural stones, selected to compliment the Nordic light. Among the details projected for the tower, is a sky-bar on the top floor, hanging gardens on three different levels, an indoor tropical garden, and a colonnade with cafés and shops along the base of the building.

Construction is scheduled to start early 2008, with planned completion sometime in 2010, in time for the opening of Malmö's City Tunnel rail link.
