Mallika Kapoor born April 25, 1987, known as Malika, is an young rising actress in both Kollywood and Tollywood industries. She started her film career through her debut Malyalam film Albudhadweep amognst actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, then she made her debut in Tamil in which she played the leading role amognst rising star Bharath in Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu and Vathiyar with action king Arjun following this she made her debut in Telugu Allare Allari opposite Allari Naresh.As her performances became more apparent she moved into Tamil movie industry, where she established herself as an actress of repute.
She has three Tamil films to date. Her debut was in Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu, with rising star Bharath, which was a great success. Her second success Arputha Theevu was released in September 2006. Vathiyar was released on Diwali.

Mallika is a Punjabi- based girl who was brought up in a middle-class family. She has no siblings. Her father works as a navy man and her mother is a housewife.
