Mall of Georgia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Mall of Georgia is a 2.2 million square foot (204,000 m²), three-story shopping mall in Buford, Georgia, United States, northeast of Atlanta. Built in 1999, it is owned by Simon Properties, and is the second-largest mall in the Southeastern U.S. It has over 200 stores, and its anchors are Dillard's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Belk (formerly Lord & Taylor), Nordstrom, and Macy's (formerly Rich's). There is also a Regal Cinemas Stadium and Imax Theatre on the third floor. The statue atop the mall is of Button Gwinnett, for whom its location of Gwinnett County is named. It is also part of Mill Creek, Georgia, a master-planned, 500-acre (2 km²) community that combines residential and commercial facilities with an 87-acre (350,000 m²) nature park. Mill Creek is not a city or town, just a community within Buford. The mall is located off of Interstate 85 (exit 115).
