Malikha Mallette is a weekend disc jockey at the New York City hip-hop radio station, Power 105 (WWPR-FM). She has done weekday overnight shifts and has substituted for other weekday DJs.

Malikha's interest in radio came as a result of conversing with Program Director of a radio station. Malikha started her career as a promotions intern at WVEE-FM, V103 in Atlanta, and within a few months, was hired for an on-air overnight shift. Malette earned the internship through Spelman College, where she eventually majored in English.

She soon moved from her overnight shift in Atlanta to Middays at X-105.7 in Baltimore, MD. Malikha also worked on air at WPGC in Washington D.C. before returning to her native New York City in 2003, and becoming a DJ for Power 105.1.

Malikha is the New York correspondent for British export, CD USA, a music series that only airs on DirecTV ’s channel 101 on Saturdays at 6pm ET.

According to her bio on WWPR-FM ‘s website, the name “Malikha” means queen. She happens to be from Queens, New York. Malikha has done numerous voice-over work in nationally aired commerials.
