Through the Eyes of the Dead's second full-length follow-up to 2005's Bloodlust. The new album will again feature artwork from Paul Romano ( Mastodon, The Red Chord). The band will enlist Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, ex-Morbid Angel) for production, engineering and mixing with Alan Douches (Unearth, Shadows Fall) of West West Side Music mastering the effort. The band will head down to Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Fla. February 16 and wrap up recording March 15.
"The new material is coming along nicely," guitarist Justin Longshore said. "The songs are a lot more mature and the music is much faster, aggressive, and way more pissed off. I think fans are going to really love it. We are really pumped to work with Erik Rutan on Malice. We've never worked with a producer and I don't think we could have chosen anyone better; we really admire the work he's done in Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal and also the engineering efforts he's produced for Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, and Premonitions of War, among others. After we hit the studio, we plan to dominate the world once again and tour throughout the year. We will be playing a lot of new places including Europe. 2007 is going to be an exciting year for TTEOTD."
