Malhar is the intercollegiate youth festival conducted by the students of St. Xavier's College, Bombay, one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in India for the past 28 years. It is usually held in the week around 15th August and hosts a number of performing arts, literary arts and fine arts events, alongside informal audience games and many interesting exhibitions and workshops.

Malhar marks the beginning of the string of college festivals that happen throughout the year[citation needed], and the numbers of students visiting Malhar rise steadily each year. It attracts major sponsors from MTV to Orange (now Hutch in India) each year, and is famous for its celebrity judges and the high quality of events and entertainment. It is still the most remarkable example of student-organised events in Mumbai, run entirely by students who work non-stop April through to August, from organising funds and getting sponsors to ensuring that the 7000+ attendees have an enjoyable and safe experience in the campus. Malhar 2005 saw the reintroduction of the band event and is bound to draw more crowds in August 2006.
