Malem

1. Malem, Which literally translates to "Moon", is one of the five municipalities that comprise the state of Kosrae in the Federated States of Micronesia.

It is referred to as the "Moon Village", due to the effect of the moonlight on the white sand of the beach, which illuminates the village at night.

2. Garden-city neighbourhood in the city of Ghent (Belgium). The neighbourhood was built in the 1948-1953 period in a very homogeneous garden-city idea, with uniform white houses, that were designed to house victims of World War II. The neighbourhood has kept its original character. The area is located at the West side of the Ghent agglomeration.
