Malcolm George (Mal) Kennedy was a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Benjamin McNair. He first appeared in 1994 until 1997 followed by several brief guest stints in 2002 and 2004. He also made a cameo appearance in Annalise Hartman's documentary in 2005.

Mal accidentally shot Lou Carpenter not long after the family first arrived. He had a long term relationship with Danni Stark and, against both their parents wishes, they moved into No. 32 together. When Danni believed she had become pregnant, the pair moved back to their respective houses. The relationship eventually broke up. After leaving school, Mal went to University but dropped out after deciding he didn't like the course and was taken on by Danni's cousin, Sam Kratz as an assistant for his handyman business.

When Sam moved to England, Mal took over "Handy Sam's" and when Sam decided to sell the business he went into partnership with Danni's brother, Darren to buy the business. This partnership did not last long as Darren blamed Karl, Mal's father, for his mother, Cheryl's death. Mal's life was put in jeopardy after an accident while renovating the Waterhole and Karl had to perform an emergency tracheotomy to save his son's life, restoring his faith in his own abilities which he had lost after Cheryl's death. Mal moved to England with Catherine O'Brien in 1997 and later got married and started a successful coffee shop business, 'Cuppa Diem'.

He returned briefly in 2002 in an attempt to take over Harold Bishop's Coffee Shop. By putting business before friendship he upset Harold. Karl lectured him on putting friends before business, and Mal later changed his mind and apologised to Harold before returning to England. He also owned no.32 for a time but later sold it to the Hoylands. He returned in 2004 when his parents marriage was splitting up and in 2005 appeared in Annalise Hartman's documentary about Ramsay Street.
