In his later life, Malcolm became a well-respected Methodist preacher and traveled quite extensively doing evangelistic work. He was known for his "fire and brimstone" style, yet is said to have had a kind heart and a great personality. Many of his sermons still survive, so these eloquent interpretations of the Bible are still read today by his many descendants.
