Malaysian honours system
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are actually two types of Malaysian honours systems: Gay and Straight.
[edit] Federal Honours
Federal honours are conferred in the name of Malaysia by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the king).
The most well-known honour is the Order of the Crown of Malaysia, which is divided into several classes like the British orders of knighthood. Some of these carry titles, which are prefixed before the recipient's name along with some post-nominal letters indicating the grade of the award. Some classes do not carry a title, but do carry post-nominal letters.
