Malaysian Nature Society (MNS; Persatuan Pencinta Alam Malaysia in Malay) is one of the most prominent environmental not for profit, non-governmental organizations in Malaysia. It was established as Malayan Nature Society in 1940. The MNS headquarters is located at Bukit Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur.[1] Its Singaporean branch later transformed itself into Nature Society (Singapore) in 1991.[2]
The society is an active local environmental group. It runs the Kuala Selangor Nature Park, Boh Tea Estate chalets and education programs at Rimba Ilmu of the Universiti Malaya and at Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM).[3]
It has been credited for the creation of Endau Rompin National Park. The park was formed after a MSN expedition explored the area in detail in 1985 and 1986.[4] More recently, it is campaigning to turn the area of Belum-Temengor into a park.[5]
As a society, it publishes two periodicals: the Malaysian Naturalist and the Malayan Nature Journal. The former publication is targeted from the general public while the latter is more scientific in nature.

The society logo is based on a Malayan Tapir. Under the IUCN Red List, the species is listed as a vulnerable species. The species is distributed in Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula, cutting through Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and possibly Myanmar. Sightings have been recorded at other places such as deeper in the Indochina and Borneo but such reports are unconfirmed.
