The Malaysia national rugby union team represents Malaysia in international rugby union. Malaysia have yet to make their debut at the Rugby World Cup, but have attempted to qualify since South Africa 1995.

Malaysia first tried to qualify for a World Cup for the 1995 tournament in South Africa. They began in Round 1 of the Asia competition, defeating Sri Lanka, but losing to Taiwan and Japan, knocking them out of contention. Malaysia tried to qualify for the 1999 Rugby World Cup in Wales as well. They started in Round 2, but lost both their fixtures against Sri Lanka and Chinese Taipei.

In the qualifying tournaments for the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia, Malaysia finished third in Pool A of Round 1, losing both their fixtures against Chinese taipei and Singapore. Malaysia began their qualification for the 2007 Rugby World Cup in Division 3 Pool B of Round 1, but did not advance to the next stage, winning one match and losing two games.
