Makpal Isabekova is part of WikiProject Central Asia, a project to improve all Central Asia-related articles. This site claims Makpal was born in Zharkent, Taldykorgan oblast. Our version says Almaty or Alma Ata. I do not correct yet - hopefully from KZ Pop Idol knows where the Almaty version originates? --Pan Gerwazy 21:36, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, it now seems obvious she was born and grew up in Zharkent. However, the oblast is not clear. Almaty or Taldykorgan. This one has her living in Zharkent when she got eliminated: [1] --Pan Gerwazy 23:57, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
