Why is this said to be a "surname in Hong Kong" when it also exists in Singapore and just about any other place where a Mak happens to be?--Huaiwei 11:37, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I don't think Mak is exclusively a surname of Hong Kong. I've see ethnic Chinese from Vietnam romanize their surnames as Mak or Mac also.--Yuje 04:02, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

I have traced my relatives back twelve generations in Holland. Mak's were two significant families in the countries history. Jarod 08:24, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
