Makedonia Palace (Greek: Μακεδονία Παλλάς) is a luxurious (5 star) hotel located in Thessaloniki, Greece. It is regarded as one of northern Greece's most famous and prestigeous hotels and is located on Megalou Alexandrou Avenue, on Thessaloniki's seafront.
Makedonia Palace was built during the 1970s and has 284 rooms and suites. Since then it remains a landmark for Thessaloniki's seafront and has full front view to the Thermaic Gulf. It is located in short distance from the White Tower of Thessaloniki, the International Trade Fair and city's centre. Makedonia Palace is about 15 km away from Makedonia International Airport. It is a major venue for both domestic and international congresses and conferences.
Every September, during the annual opening ceremony of the International Trade Fair of Thessaloniki, the Prime Minister of Greece stays at Makedonia Palace alongside with most of the Cabinet. The Hotel has hosted many Greek and international celebrities, like Russian president Vladimir Putin, Faye Dunaway, Colin Farrell and Catherine Deneuve, during their stay in the city.
