Makednos, also spelled as Makedon or Macedon - ancient Greek Μακεδών Makedōn, poetic Μακηδών Makēdōn.
According to Hesiod, Makednos was the founder of the ancient kingdom of Macedon (Macedonia). He was a son of Zeus and Thyia, grandson of Deucalion, first cousin to Aeolus, Dorus, Xuthus, and Graecus. Magnes was his brother.
