Make-up artist

A make-up artist is an artist who does makeup and prosthetics for theatrical and other similar productions. Awards given for this job include the Academy Award for Makeup.
The average pay is $3500 a month which equals about $42000 a year with 100-300 overtime.[citation needed] On average, a three year intership in an amateur theatre is necessary before beginning a true career.
