Drepanopulos:There is no Alsace-Lorraine region in France:Alsace and Lorraine are distinct regions.Of the two,only Lorraine was a significant coal producer,the last producing region remaining in France,but coal mining was definitively shut down there in 2005, as planned many years ago. HUH?

Where did we get that 8% of world reserves number for Australia? The Canadian reference claims slightly more coal (78 billion tonnes to 76 billion tonnes), but says it is only 1% of world reserves. --Llewdor 22:01, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
