- D.C. United - CONCACAF Champions' Cup - defeat Joe Public F.C. of Trinidad & Tobago 8-0 in quarterfinals. Defeat Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica 2-0 in semifinals. Defeat Toluca of Mexico 1-0 in final.
- D.C. United - Interamerican Cup - defeat Copa Libertadores champion Vasco da Gama 2-1 on aggregate. First leg played at RFK Stadium; second leg played at Lockhart Stadium.
