From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Majid Salim is a 'celebrity non celebrity', an original thinker with an intellect known to the UK national media. He was informally offered the job as manager of Chelsea Football Club by Roman Abramovic prior to Jose Mourinho being signed for the club in early July 2004. Born in 1976, he studied English Literature and Philosophy at Manchester University before studying Computer Science at Birmingham University. He originally came to the attention of the media due to his online political activism, debating the War on Terror on USENET. This also bought him to the attention of MI5, who considered him 'conspicuously intelligent' in a report about his online activity. He is the author of USENET posts and the autobiographical Life Under Surveillance, about his four psychologically stressful months spent under media surveillance in 2004. He lives in Birmingham.
