Maja Matevžič (June 13, 1980, Ljubljana) is a former professional WTA tennis player from Slovenia. Both her most recent WTA singles and WTA doubles matches were played on 21 August 2005 at Toronto. According to WTA World forums a user said that news report said she is working on a return.
Maja retired because of the injuries in september 2006. Her last tournament was in Portoroz, Slovenija, where she played doubles with Tina Križan.
Maja is now opening tennis school in Slovenija. She will pass her knowledge to kids and girls in Slovenija.
