Major Hans Dominik, station commander of Jaunde in German Kamerun. Scan from Histoire du Cameroun, Tome II, by Engelbert Mveng, p. 75. The book was published in 1985 by le Centre d'Edition et de Production pour l'Enseignement et la Recherche in Yaoundé, Cameroon. In that book, it bears the credit, "Photo Lagrave" but gives no more information as to the photograph's original pubication date or the full name of the photographer. However, the photograph dates to before Dominik's death in 1910. As such, this image is more than likely in the public domain.

[edit] Fair use rationale
Should this photograph not belong to the public domain, fair use is assumed in the article Charles Atangana because:
- It is being used to accompany an educational article, as part of a historical and critical examination;
- It illustrates the appearance of one of Atangana's major friends and collaborators;
- It is a low-quality copy of the original image;
- It could not be used to replace the original image;
- It is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely-copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
