Note that the current date and time are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which may not coincide with your local time zone. The next day's featured article of the day, picture of the day, and anniversaries update at midnight (00:00) according to UTC. The current time is 12:24 on April 3, 2007 (UTC).
Once an error has been fixed, the error report will be removed from this page; please check the page's history to verify that the error has been rectified and for any other comments the administrator may have made. Lengthy discussions should not take place here.

[edit] Errors in Selected anniversaries/On this day
The Marshall Plan was signed into US Law. Yet again, Wikiworld begins and ends at the borders of the USA. Why is it that featured articles are dominated by US-centric stories? Did nothing else happen in the world on this day?

- In my observation as an admin, there is one major factor leading to this systemic bias that you can help us solve. It is based on a common guideline that In the news, On this day, Today's Featured Article, and Did You Know all share: All of the articles featured on the main page (linked in boldtype) must be relatively complete, well-written, updated, cited, and verified. Unfortunately there are hundreds of non-USA articles that do not qualify under this rule. So if you would like to help, please feel free. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 10:33, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Follow-up and old items
This holding area is for items that require further follow-up (for example, a general point that needs to be raised elsewhere), or for items that haven't been dealt with but where the topic under discussion is no longer on the Main Page. The items listed here should eventually be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as:
- Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article
- Template talk:In the news
- Wikipedia talk:Did you know
- Wikipedia talk:Selected anniversaries
- Wikipedia talk:Picture of the day
