This is the sixteen page of my talkpage archives, dated June to mid-July 2006 during my long WikiBreak. Please do not edit this page. If you wish to leave a message, click here! :)

This WikiBreak, originally marked as a leave, was taken during a period when I was under immense stress, both in real life and on Wikipedia. Note that I must probably go by the of this year end due to my conscription, regardless of whether I like it or not.

[edit] You will be missed

I truly am sorry to see that you are leaving. Though I don't know your reasons for leaving, I hope you still look well upon your contributions here, as they were many and much appreciated. You will certainly be missed. -- Natalya 02:09, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

He said on Wikireview that this had to do partially with User:NSLE; without a goodbye message I believe there is no reason to speculate further. Thank you for all your hard work, MD, and good luck in whatever you do next. Ashibaka tock 16:56, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Indeed you will be missed. A belated thanks for considering my RfA, and good luck with whatever you're up to – Gurch 17:54, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CrazyRussian's RfA

Hello Mailer diablo, and thank you for your input at my request for adminship, which ended with an awe-inspiring 86/1/2 result. I plan to do much with my shiny new tools - but I'll start slow and learn the ropes at first. Please deluge me with assignments and requests - I enjoy helping out. For Mother Russia!! - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 05:43, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RFA

Mailer diablo, thank you very much for your support in my recent Request for adminship, it passed with a final tally of (65/3/3) - which I find both amazing and humbling. I wish I had time to thank everyone personally, but I'm afraid all I can offer is this token of my gratitude. I hope to live up to your expectations/hopes. If at any stage you need to contact me, for help or a request or to point out a mistake in my conduct, please make sure to tell me on my talk page. --Fir0002 08:22, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Huh?

Please don't go. i hope to see you at the meetup. Good luck.-- 贡献 CCD Chat with Tdxiang on IRC! 10:37, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Hello, Mailer diablo/Archive P, and thank you for the vote on my recent RfA! With a final vote of 84/1/4, I have now been entrusted with the mop, bucket and keys. I will be slowly acclimating myself to my new tools over the next months, but welcome any and all feedback and suggestions on how I might be able to use them to help the project. Although we value different types of work here, I am sure we will both contribute to this project well for years to come. Thanks again! - Kukini 17:11, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Are you closing AfDs?

Hi. You've deleted a couple of articles that appeared to fail AfDs, but you didn't close the discussion. I've done it for you. - Richardcavell 23:44, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Image:WikiThanks.png Hi Mailer diablo, thank you for voting in my RFA which failed eventually at a result of (91/51/8). I do not plan to run for adminship until a later date. Once again, I would like to thank you for having confidence in me to become an administrator and co-nominating me this time round. I'm sorry to hear that you left the project, hope to see you on IRC still. --Terence Ong (talk | contribs) 03:45, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Although no consensus was reached in the end, I still wanted to thank you for your vote in my recent RfA. Thank you very much. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 17:59, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Diablo Test

Your sudden retirement has created mild turbulence throughout En Wiki. But rest assured, your test will survive. Best Wishes! Anwar 00:06, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for Supporting my RfA!

Sorry to hear that you are leaving/have left Wikipedia, but I just dropped in to thank you for your support in my successful Request for Adminship. Thanks again, Ian Manka Talk to me! 00:24, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] We'll miss you

Thank you for all the valuable contributions you have made towards Wikipedia. Special mention include helping the Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore) article attain featured article status and your large contribution of photos. Not to forget your admin work, your involvement in the community, as well as your help in improving countless articles. Really hope that someday, you’ll come back. Till then, we’ll miss you.

Once again, thanks a lot. Here’s wishing you all the best. Advanced 18:40, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

If they haven't heard already, someone should TELL THE WIKITRUTH about this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.116.252.179 (talk • contribs).

[edit] A short Esperanzial update

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Such a loss

Hope you read this after the fact. We really enjoyed having you around here as an admin and contributor. Would be great if you made a reappearance. Cheers -- Samir धर्म 03:56, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Indeed. You definately will be missed, all your contributions benefited this project so much. In years when it is booming, people will ask how Wikipedia got off the ground and how it met with success like it did, and they may not remember those editors like you who got it there in its early days. I do hope you'll return in the near future. Aaрон Кинни (t) 11:15, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Military service

Two years of full time service from every male in a country not at war. How do they use all those people? And you all must postpone going to college for two years? I'd hate to be in that situation. Well, Good luck at your studies :-). NoSeptember 18:48, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Come to the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave and not to mention no conscription? -- Миборовский 05:05, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Mailer, best wishes! The next six months is all yours, do what's best for yourself and your own future. After that, the next two years belong to the SAF, which I'm sure you will have lots of fun and great moments, as I and many NSmen had. And you will find real buddies, who will watch your back and protect you; not a bunch of anons wagging tails at the arbcom :P. You will excel and lead, I'm sure; as you did in wikipedia. All the Best! --Vsion 06:16, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Forum letter

I just want to say, congratulations on getting your letter accepted by the Straits Times. It's being cited everywhere I go. Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (Be eudaimonic!) 17:09, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Hmm? What is this letter you are speaking of? -- Миборовский 17:31, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
See Young Republic, this (letter 2), but most of all - this. Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (Be eudaimonic!) 17:37, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ben Shuldiner on deletion review

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Ben Shuldiner. Since you closed the deletion discussion for (or speedy-deleted) this article, your reasons on how or why you did so will be greatly appreciated in the above review. Hey Mailer diablo, I'm sending you this just in case you're still looking at DRVs of your closed AfD. Cheers, Deathphoenix ʕ 21:36, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
