Maitland Grossmann High School

Maitland Grossmann High School is situated in East Maitland, New South Wales, Australia on Cumberland St. It is rated 3rd highest Higher School Certificate results in the Hunter-Central Coast School Region.[citation needed] In 2006, the school had an enrollment of 1038 students. It has a reputation in the community in the following areas: Academic achievement; Quality creative and performing arts; Excellence in sport; Caring student welfare; and highly effective behaviour management strategies.
Labor Omnia Vincit is the school's moto, which translates to Work Conquers All.
The school is one of the four oldest in the New South Wales education system, and celebrated its 120th Anniversary in 2004. It has strong ties to Sydney Girls High, as it's Australian sister school. MGHS is well known for its outstanding cultural outreach, including music programs and the Adopt-A-Resident program in which students volunteer their time to visit elderly people in nearby nursing homes.
