Maisonneuve (magazine)

Maisonneuve is a general interest magazine based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It publishes journalism on arts, science and social and cultural trends. The magazine, published quarterly, defines its mandate as "to dissolve artistic borders between regions, countries, languages, and genres".

The magazine was launched in 2002 by Derek Webster. In 2004, Maisonneuve won two National Magazine Awards and the Canadian Newsstand Award.

MediaPout is Maisonneuve's online, definitive Friday afternoon briefing of top celebrity gossip sources. Using the "Big Seven" - The Superficial, Perez Hilton, Pink is the New Blog, People, Us Weekly, The National Enquirer and In Touch Weekly - MediaPout writer Nick Haramis not only satirizes the stars, but also examines the ways in which their dirty laundry is being aired. Each entry features the four major gossip stories from the past week, with links to the original sources that scooped them.
