Maire Mullen won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Actress in a play for The Beauty Queen of Leenane. She is married to Irish actor Sean McGinley. They have two children. She was one of the founding members of the Druid Theatre Company and her husband has been associated with the company many times in the past.
