Maila Aanchal is a Hindi novel written by Phanishwar Nath Renu. It is one the greatest examples of "Anchalik Upanyas" (regional novel) in Hindi. It was first published in 1955 and was immediately acclaimed as a classic. It details the trials and tribulations of a small group of people in a remote village of North-east Bihar during the Quit India Movement.
