Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill (1951- ) is an Irish traditional singer from Rannafast, County Donegal and County Meath. She is generally regarded as one of Ireland's finest traditional singers, with extraordinary sales of 500,000 records, such massive sales are rare in the traditional music industry. Maighread first came to prominence as a member of the group Skara Brae. The other members of the group were Mícheál Ó Domhnaill, Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill and Dáithí Sproule. The only recording that the group made still remains a classic.
