Category talk:Mainland China geography stubs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On {{hangon}}: Precisely, user:Huaiwei and user:SchmuckyTheCat had made template:China-geo-stub not feeding into this category, and has recategorised all subcategories under this category, in order to upmerge this category with its parent. Such restructuring was never proposed and discussed. A similar matter was discussed some time ago, but it produced no decision to depopulate and restructure this category in this way. — Instantnood 08:21, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the speedy delete notice. Luigi30 (Taλk) 14:16, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Please see discussion: [1]. This category is a duplicate of the parent category and can be removed.
Instantnood is fervently restoring it and has been banned from editing stubs, templates, and categories because of the revert-warring that this article was part of [2]. For revert warring over it, he's been banned for a month, that's why he put the hang-on notice as an IP user. SchmuckyTheCat 23:48, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Edit-war followed by speedying is not a reasonable mechanism for settling what's clearly a somewhat contentious matter (even if a fairly small number of people are doing the actual contending). I'm taking this to SFD: if that doesn't produce a clear-cut outcome either way, we can try to get more eyeballs on it at DRV. Alai 01:45, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
