  • This is not an exception article. Any article that is semi-protected requires you to be registered at least 4 days. Regards,¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 23:28, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

  • There is conversation concerning editing article "World War II" dear Habap.
I understand precisely what you are discussing. I saw your vandalism/threat. My interest is in what you consider in the World War II article to be so wrong that it drives you to incivility. --Habap 22:39, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WWII/Poland

The list of major allies on the World War Two page isn't an exhaustive list of allied countries, only for the major combatants. Poland as a sovereign state only existed in the war for a few weeks, and while Polish forces contributed to the Allied cause later in the war, i.e., Polish pilots flying for Britain in 1940, and the Polish airborne division that landed at Arnhem, they were not a major contributor, at the same level of the UK, USA, or USSR. Please stop adding Poland to the list. If you revert it again, you'll have violated WP:3RR, and may be blocked from editing. Thanks. Parsecboy 14:17, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

  • My dear Poland Had fourth army of world during World War II. I advise you supplement education about World War II :) It except you all know it. You have been compromised by your ignorance.

Except that poland didn't have the 4th largest army in World War II. England, America, USSR and Germany all had much larger militaries, and i'd wager japan, italy, france, and china did as well. Perhaps it is you who should be supplementing your education of World War Two. The Polish army at the start of the war was only 800,000 strong, the military forces of the USA, by comparison, were 16,000,000 by the war's end, 20 times the size of Poland's army. The Soviet Union had a standing army of 10-13 million, which doesn't include air and naval forces. Nationalist China had an army of 4.3 million regulars, along with 1.3 million communist forces fighting alongside. Japan's army was around 2 million, along with another approximately 2 million Chinese collaborationists. in mid 1939, British forces were 225,000 regulars and 300,000 more reservists, but by the end of the year 1 million more were drafted. by the end of the war, the British army was 2.9 million men. The French Army at war's end was 1.25 million. Approximately 18.2 million Germans served in the Wehrmacht. Parsecboy 19:51, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

  • You amuse me. The Polish Army counted in moment of explosion of war over one million soldiers. We conflicted in same time with two strong armies: Red army and german army. Poland There was one of most important aliants in this war. I will remember too about perfect polish Military intelligence agency, Counter-intelligence and Foreign Ciphers (Biuro Szyfrów) without who winning of this war would be many hardest.

OK, so the American armed services were only 16 times as large, not 20. If you read Invasion of Poland (1939), you'll see it clearly states that while Poland had an army of about 1 million men, only 500,000 were mobilized on sept. 1st. Due to casualties, and forces being overrun, the Polish probably only had 800,000 at most during the bulk of the fighting. that still puts it behind even the Free French forces by a quarter million, if you counted the non-mobilized Polish forces. I'll give you that the Polish fought in the Battle of Britain, at Arnhem, and were the first to break Enigma, but they made no other major contributions to the war effort. Therefore, they are not considered a major Allied power, and do not belong on the very brief list on the World War II page. Parsecboy 02:28, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

  • I will remember you Great victory of polish II Corps in Battle of Monte Cassino and many others topping, important polish operations. Conquest of plan by Polish army of rocket V1, V2 also and transfer of information about german attacks britishers. Poland had strong army, but overcoming two army (russians and germans) in same time attacking is hard. Suddenly these attacks have proceeded without anticipation and expression of war. During when it was defended Poland, allies for war fear include.

I'm not saying that Poland made no contributions to the war effort, but they simply don't stack up to those made by the chief allied powers of UK, USSR, and USA. Well, the Polish defenses were pretty well broken by the time the USSR invaded from the east, they just hastened the inevitable collapse. And I wouldn't say that Poland didn't know war with Germany was coming. They just thought it wouldn't be so soon. Parsecboy 12:17, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

And one imagines that they thought that the British and French would not simply deter Germany from attacking, but would be able to assist them in some direct manner. Sadly for them, neither of them were prepared for war either. --Habap 14:19, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

The problem with England was that they set their military budget at the start of a decade, for the rest of the decade, based on how likely war seemed in the near future. So, in 1930, when war wasn't likely in Europe, Britain set its military funding low, so in 1939, it wasn't prepared. France was in a slightly better situation, but the French army didn't have the kind of commanders it needed. The French started an offensive in western Germany when Germany invaded Poland, but after a short time, they broke it off and retreated. Had France had the guts to keep driving into Germany, they would've broken the German defenses, and forced Hitler to abandon attacking Poland. What if, eh? Parsecboy 14:52, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: hi

Hey Mahal. I previously described the process in one of the posts above however I found a post by User:Master of Puppets that might be able to help you way better, apparently I made many mistakes trying to describe it to Nina. Click this link to find out how.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 20:45, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks :)

Do you mean the name of your userpage? Well Glen S has an interesting code where you insert: {{User:Glen_S/Title|Insert Title Here}}. Or if you mean change an article name, you can redirect it to a more appropriate name and copy and paste the content to the new article (that is if it a valid redirect and is uncontroversial to do so). Which one might it be :)?¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 17:23, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

  • I want to change name of article write which--Mahal11 17:28, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
  • If you point to me which article name you are interested in changing and why, I'll help walk you through the process.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 17:44, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Hi again, seems like you placed the redirect in the wrong place so I fixed it for you. See you around...¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 18:41, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
  • OK thanks;) I practice it:) Mahal11 18:52, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Aren't you supposed to use "move" instead of creating a new article, so that it also moves the Talk page and records it as a move instead of a new article? --Habap 22:52, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I gave him the redirect method since the name can still qualify as a valid redirect rather than moving the information through the "move" tab.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:41, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: hi (2)

Hello Mahal, apparently the article link you gave me (Nicolaus Kopernik) does not exist as a Wikipedia article or it was deleted. Do you mean another article?¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:41, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

That particular article right now is fully protected due to editing disputes. If you look at the top of the page you will notice a tag which states this. This is due to users edit warring with each other, that is reverting, removing, or editing content which is not agreed upon. Administrators enact a full protect till the dispute is resolved or has died down. Full protection can be controversial and even wrong at times, however usually administrators enact full protects that abide by Wikipedia policy. Hope this answers your question.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 23:27, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Editing other users comments on talk pages

Please do not edit other people's comments on talk pages to reflect your own opinion, state your case in the manner decent editors do, in the argument - reply format. Thanks.--Alf melmac 00:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use images aren't allowed in user pages

I removed 4 images from your user page that were prohibited from being on user pages by rule #9 of the rules for fair use images. If you restore those images, I will refer you to an admin. For questions on the matter, you might prefer to ask User:Durin (talk). Will (Talk - contribs) 00:45, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

And you think, that it if record no photos be under these four articles is honest??? There are photos from Wikipedia, Can not be edited so, why? It absurd a bit. --Mahal11 23:19, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't how editing photos or the articles are relevant. You can't have fair use images on your user page. I am asking Durin to visit this conversation. Perhaps he will understand you. Will (Talk - contribs) 00:50, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Will is correct. Images that are tagged with a fair use tag, for example {{logo}} or {{promotional}} may only be used in main namespace articles, and not on userpages. The policy that covers this is Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. You're welcome to use free licensed images, but not fair use license images. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. --Durin 03:23, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Mahal, is English your native language? I am guessing not from the words you chose. I personally don't know any languages other than English and I don't know what Durin knows. However, if needed, we can find someone who speaks your preferred language. Would that help you understand? Will (Talk - contribs) 04:05, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Polish is my native language but I understand english not bad. But if you have somebody who speak in Polish let's he will write for me. --Mahal11 16:50, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
