[edit] Help please
Please help me include the team kit on Poole Town F.C.. At the moment it is black. The home kit is here. The away is a sky blue shirt with sky blue shorts and socks.
Thanks.
- The explanation on making the kit is at Template_talk:Football_kit. Give that a shot, and if you are still struggling ask on my talk page and I'll give it a go.--Commander Keane 16:50, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Image:BlackHolesAndRevalationsCover.JPG
Hi. Please add a source to Image:BlackHolesAndRevalationsCover.JPG. Thanks. Mahahahaneapneap 19:38, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- Is source a requirement for album covers on English Wikipedia now? I moved it from Commons (definitely misplaced by other user there), but you could delete image if you want. --EugeneZelenko 14:08, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for doing the edits to the Muse singles pages. I think I might have missed a fair bit of information out. It's only the basics so far. Xtrememachineuk 22:01, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Lynah_salute_nov_5_2004_jpg.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lynah_salute_nov_5_2004_jpg.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Bear Wood
Looking at your recent edits, I have to say I can see what you mean when you say Bear Wood is not in Bournemouth; though it could be argued that parts of it are. it is often lumped in with Bournemouth as you cannot approach it directly from the conurbation without passing through Bournemouth. However, the Bear Cross roundabout is in Bournemouth; the border is about half a mile down the Magna Road. I suppose it all depends on how far these rather amorphous areas extend. [edit] No need to make edits just to bypass a redirect
It's no big deal, but Wikipedia discourages edits like this. See Wikipedia:Redirect#Don't fix links to redirects that aren't broken.--Mathew5000 04:25, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:LostPilotEye.jpg)
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:LostPilotEye.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
The image was removed from Thematic motifs of Lost becaus eit does not have a fair use rationale. Please add a rationale and restore it to the article if you would like it to remain.Opark 77 09:23, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mass editing
If you notice someone is doing a mass editing (eg on Muse albums), please do no interfere (even if you are trying to help), as it may cause edition conflicts.
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Somersetarms.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Somersetarms.png. However, the copyright tag you've used is deprecated or obsolete, and should not be used. This could be because the tag is inaccurate or misleading, or because it does not adequately specify the copyright status of the image. For a list of copyright tags that are in current use, see the "Public domain", "Free license", and "Fair use" sections of Wikipedia:Image copyright tags.

[edit] Image:Thierry Henry.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Thierry Henry.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 21:42, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:UK road 1.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:UK road 1.PNG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:11, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Radiohead grass.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Radiohead grass.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. [edit] Album covers
Hi there. I noticed you've reuploaded some album covers from the iTunes Store. While it is nice to have higher resolution versions, it goes against our fair use policy. You see, in order for our use of the images to be legal, we can't interfere with the copyright holder's ability to make a profit off of the works. In this case, we have to make sure it wouldn't be possible for someone to use the image to, say, use the image to sell illegal copies. So when uploading fair use images, it's actually better to have a low resolution version. ShadowHalo 06:29, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have not actually uploaded any of these album covers for several months, but I won't upload any more. I will try to replace all of these images with lower resolution versions. Mahahahaneapneap 12:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
