Mahindra World City is located in the outskirts of Chennai. It is located near Singaperumalkovil in Chengelpet. Mahindra World City is strategically located in a fast developing industrial corridor near Chennai, Tamil Nadu, one of India's fastest growing economies.[citation needed]
When fully built, Mahindra World City will be completely packaged with high end infrastructure: 6 lane roads, stable power, unlimited bandwidth and abundant potable water enabling investors to set up operations with ease. It is a joint Venture between the Government of Rajasthan and Mahindra Group. It would be spread over an area of 3,000 acres on the Jaipur-Agra road, around 10 km from Jaipur.
Also Mahindra World City, Pune has been launched.

Infosys will construct the world's largest software development campus at Mahindra World City near Chennai. It will be constructed on 126 acres (51 ha). Infosys plans to invest in Phase I, approximately Rs.2,500,000,000 in the new facility. On completion, the project would have a built-up area of 3.5 million square feet (325,000 m²) on 126 acres (510,000 m²) with 25,000 seats requiring 22.5 MW of power, 1,500,000 litres of water and an investment of Rs. 12,500,000,000.[1]
Over 2000 employees work out of campuses in Mahindra World City today.[citation needed]
Infosys Technologies, Srinivasa Fashions, Nera Electronics and Kryolan Cosmetics have commenced operations at their campuses in Mahindra World City. In the coming months, several others are expected to commence activity as they start construction activity on their campuses at Mahindra World City.
