Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary

Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Goa, India, in the Eastern Ghats and the borders of Karnataka. It has 240 square kilometres. It is known as a place for avid bird-watchers to gather. One can also find many unique historical and geological features in this area, including Devil's Canyon, several important temples dating to the Kadamba Dynasty, and Dudhsagar Falls. The parkland is also home to a community of nomadic buffalo herders known as the Dhangar.
