Mahatma Gandhi School

Mahatma Gandhi School is a higher secondary boys' school in the town of Barasat, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. There is also a Computer Training Centre in the school run by the Government of West Bengal.

This is a school which was established in the year 1948 just after the death of Mahatma Gandhi who visited the area of the school few days before his tragic death.[citation needed] The school is not only one of the very best in Barasat but resultwise it remains one of the best in entire West Bengal.In the year 1997 it celebrated it's 50th year.
