Mahamat Ali Adoum

Mahamat Ali Adoum (born 14 November 1947) is a politician and ambassador from Chad. He served as foreign minister in 1992 and 1993 and has been the ambassador the the United Nations since 2001. He has been ambassador to several countries, including United States, Canada, Argentina, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, United Kingdom and the European Community. He has also worked for the World Bank.

Adoum received a diploma in Education from Université de Brazzaville, a bachelors degree in Political Science from Laval University in Quebec, and his master's degree from the school of advanced international studies at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland.
