With all the Obelisk Blue students converted to join him, Sartorius has Chazz duel the Ra Yellow dorm members and make them members of the Society of Light as well. But when Bastion hears about it, he challenges Chazz to prove he's good enough to enter himself, stating that when he wins Sartorius will leave the academy. Bastion's normally calculated methods give Chazz a run for his money, and Sartorius begins to wonder if Bastion should be allowed to join him. However, Bastion also realizes that if he wins, he'll never be able to join the Society and prove his power, causing him to rethink his strategy.
