Magnús Þorsteinsson is one of Iceland's most successful businessmen and chairman of Avion Group. He is a big investor and entrepreneur with interests in aviation and financial services. Þorsteinsson began his investments in St. Petersburg, Russia where he co-founded Bravo Brewery, which was later sold to Heineken NV. Þorsteinsson acquired 51% of stocks in Air Atlanta Icelandic in 2002 and is chairman of Eimskip and a board member of Samson Holding and Actavis.
