Magic and Medicine is the second album by The Coral, released on July 28, 2003 in the United Kingdom, where it debuted at number 1 in the charts, and on February 10, 2004 in the United States (see 2003 in music). The singles "Don't Think You're the First" and "Pass It On" earned them their first top ten hits.

The US release features a limited edition EP entitled Nightfreak and the Sons of Becker (which was released as a mini-album in the UK).

  • The track "All of Our Love" is not featured on the Argentinian version of the album or certain imported copies.
  • The album title originates from a lyric in Time Travel, the hidden track on the band's debut album: "It's between magic and medicine".
  • Prior to its release, James Skelly joked that the album would be entitled "Matrix Farm" and that "the key to The Matrix is David Sneddon's chin. You have to eat a bowl of Sneddon Brek to unlock it".
