Magic Set Editor

Magic Set Editor is a tool created by Twan Var Laarhoven. It creates images of self-designed Magic: The Gathering cards, and is one of the two main editors of its type, the other being MtG Editor.

[edit] MSE1
The first of the two programs, MSE 1 was written in Visual Basic and only covered Magic cards. It had both old and new styles, but some of the features were missing, such as split cards, and these would not be added until MSE 2.
[edit] MSE2
The successor to MSE1, MSE2 is written in a hybrid language and is able to create cards for any game that have been templated, at the moment this includes Magic and Vs. MSE2 is currently in the Beta stage, but considering the cease and desist sent to the other editor, it may not make it out of beta.
[edit] Legality
The legality of MSE is in something of a grey area; until recently, it was not questioned, however the creator of MtG Editor, Mr. Weikopf, was sent a Cease and Desist to cease to distribute and use the Editor. This may mean that MSE will face a similar problem in the near future. It is currently unknown as to what will become of either Editor.
