Maghribi script is a cursive form of the Arabic alphabet influenced by Kufic letters that developed in the Maghreb (Morocco) and later in Spain, particularly Andalusia. The maghribi script branched also to five other sub/scripts:

1-The kufic maghribi and was used mainly in the early days.

2-Mabsout script is used to write quran.

3-Mojawher script is used mainly by the king to announce laws.

4-Thuluth maghribi script.

5-Mosnad script used mainly by courts and notairs in writing marriage contracts.
