Maggie Horton (née Simmons) is a fictional character on the soap opera Days of our Lives, played by Suzanne Rogers since 1973.

Maggie originally lived on a farm and was crippled by an automobile accident which claimed her ability to walk in her childhood. In 1973, Mickey Horton, delirious with fever after a bypass surgery, wandered to her farm, claiming himself to be Marty Hansen. They fell in love quickly and were married. Mickey's brother Bill ended up finding him, but Mickey did not remember his true identity. After eventually overcoming his amnesia, Mickey and Maggie found that they loved each other anyway, and remarried, finally giving her the name Horton. Bill Horton operated on Maggie's legs and spine many times, and she eventually learned how to walk again.

Maggie has undergone many traumas, including alcoholism, kidnapping by Stefano DiMera, rape, miscarriage, becoming a surrogate mother and then deciding to keep the baby, and the disease myasthenia gravis (which actress Suzanne Rogers suffered from in real life). She is now married to Mickey for a second time, after Mickey married Bonnie Lockhart while Maggie was feared dead during the kidnapping plot by Stefano.

Maggie now runs Chez Rouge, an upscale restaurant in Salem, and takes care of her nephew Nick and her niece Abby. Mickey has been off-screen since the beginning of 2006, when actor John Ingle left the show.
