In the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, the magewright is one of the non-player character classes. They were brought into existence in the Eberon Campaign setting, and are only appropriate in high magic settings. In high magic settings, they form the backbone of the magical item/equipment industry. Magewrights have skills focusing primarily in crafting items, but supplement these with limited magical abilities that are useful for item creation.
[edit] Special
What sets magewrights apart from mundane blacksmiths and artisans is their magic. Much like adepts, magewrights are able to cast a limited number of useful spells. The spells they have access to tend to be useful only for crafting mundane and magical items and equipment.
