[edit] Domain name controversy
In July of 2006, it was reported in the political weblog DailyKos[1] that the URL www.bobrochelle.com redirects to Mae Beavers's homepage. The meta tags for the website include the phrase "Official campaign web site for Bob Rochelle Tennessee Senate district 17 Democrat". The website is owned by Daniel Lewis[2], a candidate for the Tennessee Libertarian Party,[3] His motivations for buying bobrochelle.com and redirecting it to Mae Beavers's official site are unknown, although on the Libertarian Party of Tennessee website, Mae Beavers is listed as one of four non-Libertarian candidates who "certainly advocate fiscal responsibility for the local offices for which they are running and are outspoken opponents of tax increases."[4]
