Mike Tigas is a 20 year old male of the species Homo sapiens. Mike was born on March 7, 1987 in New Jersey, grew up in Columbia, Missouri and Florissant, Missouri, and is now an undergraduate student at the University of Missouri - Columbia, majoring in media convergence journalism (department site) and information technology (department site).

Mike's day job is a web developer position at a local search engine optimization company, specializing in web design and WordPress blog development. He also works at the University's student newspaper, The Maneater, as Online Editor, occasionally taking up duties as a staff photographer and graphic designer/page designer. By night, Mike works at a local bar, The Blue Fugue, serving hookahs on hookah lounge nights and also working as barback.

Hobbies include photography, creative writing (primarily nonfiction, occasionally dabbling in fictional short stories), listening to music, Guitar Hero, and Dance Dance Revolution. His favorite drinks include water, jasmine green tea, Virgil's Root Beer, Framboise, Tucher (Helles), and Chartreuse.
