now the status is proposed, according to the emporis website.
- "However it would not overtake the Magnolia Tension-leg Platform, an oil rig under construction in the Gulf of Mexico, which at 1,430 m will be the world's tallest structure." Is a tension leg platform really considered a structure, including the legs? They're basically wires going down to the bottom. Would that mean that a balloon with 1431m wire tether would be the world's largest structure?
