Madrid is a city in Colombia located in the Department of Cundinamarca. The city is located at 19 miles from Bogotá City. The city's main and biggest industry is the growing of flowers, especially roses which are mostly exported to the United States and Japan.

Madrid is well known because it harbors the Academy of Sub-Officials to the Colombian Air Force. The main highway to Medellín (also known as "variante") bisects the city and leads to the northern part of Colombia from Bogotá.

Madrid has some other industries as manufacturing, retail stores and food processing. Actualy there are some constructions like Celta Trade park who is a place where the importations arrive and there are send by other speciall trucks who are allowed to enter Bogotá there are also other municipes like Funsa and Mosquera who are also include in this proyect and other ones like "terminal de transporte" or the ampliation of places to store food and other kind of suplies.
