Madison Theatre, 107 NE Madison Avenue, Peoria, Illinois, opened on October 16, 1920 as a silent picture theatre. Commissioned by Dee Robinson, and designed by Frederick J. Klein, this building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 21, 1980. It is located directly across the street from the Pere Marquette Hotel, also on the National Register.[1] The theatre features an Italian Renaissance exterior and a classical plasterwork on the walls and domed ceilings inside. The domed lobby's terra-cotta plasterwork frames a triple-arched window above the marquee.[2]
