Madison High School (New Jersey)

Madison High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school serving students in grades 9-12 in Morris County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Madison Public Schools. The school, located in the borough of Madison, has an enrollment of approximately 766 students. Students from Harding Township attend the school as part of a sending/receiving relationship.
Madison High School was the 48th-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine's September 2006 cover story on the state's Top Public High Schools[1].
Madison High School offers four World Languages (Spanish, French, German, & Italian), in addition to a full array of academic majors in English, History, Mathematics and Science. Twelve Advanced Placement Program courses offered include AP English Literature and Composition, AP United States History, AP European History, AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science, AP Statistics, AP Spanish Language, AP French Language, AP German Language, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics.
Over 90% of the district's graduates move on to a four-year or two-year college or enter the military.

[edit] Extracurricular activities
Madison High School offers dozens of clubs and 23 interscholastic sports, and competes in the Suburban Division of the Northern Hills Conference. The school offers the Personal Development Program, a freshman orientation and guidance program led by upperclassmen. The music program includes an orchestra, concert band, chorus, jazz band and chorus, guitar ensemble, show band and musical theater.
Madison is well respected in the region because of the consistent successes of its Field Hockey, and boys' basketball team. Madison is also one of very few schools in the division to have a synthetic turf field. The Sportexe "Momentum" turf was completed on September 22, 2006, and publicly unveiled the following day in a varsity football game against division rival Delbarton School.

- Janeane Garofalo attended, but did not graduate from Madison High School.
- Vincent Larusso, actor best known for his roles as "Adam Banks" from The Mighty Ducks trilogy.
- Neil O'Donnell, quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Jets.[2]
