Madhu Kishwar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Madhu Kishwar is an Indian feminist (though she does not call herself one), and one of the founders of Manushi: A Journal about Women and Society. She has been campaigning for years for the rights of the poorest and least privileged women in India.
In her student days she was a Supreme Councillor representing Miranda House at the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU). She ran for the office of President of DUSU, but despite strong support from other Supreme Councillors of her college, her bid was ultimately unsuccessful.
